Each year the Dayton Business Journal accepts nominations for the Best Places to Work awards for the Dayton metro area. This year, LJB was named as the Best Places to Work winner in the large company category—a title we are extremely proud to have. Company initiatives that contributed to the title include the company’s 20 percent growth, our family-friendly atmosphere and regular social, well-being and sustainability events.
David Tomasula, the Facilities Division Manager, accepted the award on the company’s behalf at the annual awards banquet on April 23.
“I feel very proud that our employees continue to feel that LJB is a great place to work,” said Laurie Iulg, Human Resources Manager. “This year it’s even sweeter because we won the large company category. Large organizations, especially fast growing companies, have a much harder time maintaining such a positive work culture.”
The program solicits confidential feedback from staff and then recognizes employee engagement and satisfaction at local workplaces. More than 80 of LJB’s 110 employees responded to the survey. This year 137 companies were nominated and 28 were selected as honorees. Winners were selected from the honorees and announced at the annual awards banquet.
There were four categories for the awards, with companies chosen in either Micro (10 to 24 employees), Small (25 to 49 employees), Medium (50 to 99 employees) or Large (100 or more employees).
