In keeping with LJB’s purpose to improve the quality of life, our employees team with organizations whose missions are to protect and improve peoples’ lives. Last Friday, 10 LJBers walked 5 kilometers around LJB’s office to support the American Heart Association’s efforts to fight heart disease and stroke.
Every year, the American Heart Association works to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases—the nation’s number one and four killers—claim more than 800,000 American lives each year.
Our Heart Walk team raised $400 for the American Heart Association. Overall, the Dayton area raised $240,000 for this important cause.
Kudos to Marty Williams for organizing LJB’s heart walk team and thank you to team members Cheryl Becker, Tim Coppess, Laurie Iulg, Dianne Lawson-Smith, Jean Manns, Andrea Pakulski, Glenda Randall, Dan Strope and Marion Wells. Several of our employees’ furry friends also enjoyed this noontime jaunt.
