Bike to Work on May 17

BiketoWorkDay2In celebration of National Bike to Work Day, Five Rivers MetroParks is hosting its annual pancake breakfast event to promote bicycling as a viable means of transportation and recreation.

The event will be held Friday, May 17 from 7 to 9 a.m. at RiverScape MetroPark’s Bike Hub.

Best of all, the whole event is free.

LJB is proud to have played a role in the design and construction of many miles of the area’s recreational trail system. We are honored to once again partner with Five Rivers MetroParks as a sponsor for this important community event.

BiketoWorkDayLJB is organizing a group walk and bike ride this year from Eastwood MetroPark following the Mad River recreation trail. After reaching the Bike Hub (and indulging in a pancake and sausage breakfast), the LJB “Spirit Crew” will rally other riders as they cross the “finish line” into RiverScape.

Last year, LJB tied for third place with the Dayton Metro Library in the Bike to Work Team Challenge. We hope to exceed last year’s level of participation in support of Bike to Work Day 2013.

If you are interested in participating in our group ride or joining us as part of the Spirit Crew, please contact me at (937) 259-5089 or SIngle@LJBinc.com.
