Elizabeth Sliemers, an LJB project manager and senior traffic engineer, is the newest member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Ohio Section Executive Board.
Nominated to the director position by her fellow ITE members, this position gives Beth the opportunity to help shape the future of an organization that has positively impacted her career.
As the chair of the Scholarship and Student Chapter committee since 2004, Beth looks forward to continuing her commitment to the students and young engineers in the chapter. When I asked Beth what she wanted to get out of her new position, she said she wanted to find new and creative ways to engage the young engineers. She believes it is important to mentor and support the students and young engineers in the infancies of their careers.
LJB has a long history of supporting and actively participating on the board of the ITE Ohio Section, including three past presidents and one board member during the last 12 years. The professional development and networking opportunities that ITE has provided LJBers have been instrumental in our growth as traffic engineering professionals.
Please join me in wishing Beth much success in her new position.
Congratulations, Beth.
