Next month, tilt-up design and construction experts will converge in Amelia Island, Florida, for the 2012 TCA Convention. This year’s conference will be held October 2-4 with an evolution theme. It will focus on advances within the industry, as well as evolutions in business that lead to sustained growth and achievement.
With two focused tracks – management and field supervisor/superintendent – in addition to general sessions, the conference is packed with educational sessions and opportunities to collaborate with other leaders in the tilt-up construction industry. Check out this year’s schedule for more details.
As a member of the TCA Executive Board, I’m excited about the addition of continuing education credits to this year’s program. The American Concrete Institute (ACI) recently approved continuing education in lieu of re-testing for re-certification of tilt-up supervisors and technicians. TCA is providing more than 14 hours of training for field superintendents to meet their continuing education requirements. The increased participation from field personnel should definitely bring a new perspective to this annual event.
While at the conference, be sure to participate in the “Bracing to the Slab” panel discussion on October 3. I will be joined by experts in construction, architecture and equipment to answer audience questions about brace connections, panel thickening, slab reinforcing, panel bracing in inclement weather, and much more.
Register today to take advantage of all that this year’s conference has to offer.
