LJB Scholarship Supports Future Leaders

Each year, LJB awards a scholarship to an outstanding high school senior or college student studying engineering, science or architecture.

We grant this scholarship through a partnership with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Kittyhawk Post. Luke Sobota of Beavercreek, Ohio, was selected as this year’s recipient. Luke is a graduate of Beavercreek High School and will be a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in electrical and computer engineering. Luke hopes to work for the Department of Defense after graduation. He would like to eventually lead research projects for the Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL).

At LJB, we are committed to investing in leadership and the future of our professions. Our engineers, architects and scientists regularly work with students through cooperative education opportunities and senior design project mentorship to help prepare them for their careers.

LJB principals Pete Battaglia and Grant Bartee presented Luke with his scholarship at the SAME Kittyhawk Post June luncheon.
