When LJB launched its wellness program last year, the goal was to improve the health and well-being of our staff and their families.
LJB was recently named as a 2012 Healthiest Employer by the Dayton Business Journal and its partner, technology and data research firm Healthiest Employers. The awards program recognizes employers that proactively and positively impact the health of their workplace.
While we are proud to be a winner of this award, the larger reward is the changes we’ve seen in our employees and our culture. Since our wellness program started, we have already seen it affect people’s choices of food, drinks, lunchtime activities and after-work pursuits.
Our “Biggest Loser” and “Let’s Just Walk” programs have given employees some positive competition to rally around. We are excited about the momentum we’ve gained toward improved health.
Now, we’re asking: what is the next thing we should do to improve the quality of life for our employees?
