Tilt-up goes to the dogs

The new Green Leaf Pet Resort and Spa built for Shelly’s School for Dogs in Millstone, New Jersey, is the premier getaway for pets. With long-term and short-term luxury pet boarding, doggy daycare, obedience training, grooming and spa treatments, this facility has it all.

Bedrock Concrete worked with the LJB design team to meet the owner’s desire for a durable, energy-efficient haven that is welcoming and appealing to pet owners. Bedrock Concrete is a design-build contractor that specializes in tilt-up concrete construction.

The 24,000-square-foot facility was built with insulated tilt-up concrete panels. The interior partition walls in the main corridor were also tilt-up panels. Some panels feature recesses to accommodate post-applied stone accents. The resort and spa has a natural color palette and features cultured stone, textured paint, rustication lines and a contrasting cornice that accents the top of the facility.

The facility, situated on a serene 56-acre oasis complete with its own blueberry patch, features an indoor play area, private bedroom suites, indoor canine aquatic center, puppy socialization suite and ample direct and indirect sunlight. Other features include a hospital-grade air filtration system, vacuum cleaned central air and a central hydro-cleaning system with high level sanitizers.

Some days, don’t you wish you were a dog?
